Root canal treatment aims to treat disorders of the nerve inside the tooth. The disorder of the nerve is usually caused by bacterial irritation from dental decay, previous large and deep filling or crown, or trauma to the tooth.
Root canal treatment is carried out when the decay in the tooth is severe and has reached the tooth pulp- the centre of the tooth, exposing the living and connective tissues.
Our treatment involves removing the inflamed or infected pulp inside of the tooth and carefully cleaning and disinfecting it. The infected tooth is then sealed with a rubber-like material and the tooth restored with a crown or filling for protection.
